The tour to the Höttinger Alm is an absolute highlight for mountain bike fans. The starting point at the Hungerburgbahn in Innsbruck leads uphill on well-maintained forest paths. After around 800 meters in altitude and around 1.5 hours, you reach the Alm at 1,487 meters.
Once at the top, you can enjoy traditional Tyrolean specialties and spectacular views. Innsbruck lies deep in the valley below, while the rugged Nordkette mountain range rises majestically on the horizon. This view more than makes up for the effort of the ascent.
The rapid descent back to Innsbruck is the perfect finale. The mixture of sporting challenge, breathtaking views and pure nature makes this tour unforgettable. A must for every bike enthusiast!
A special tip for the adventurous is the combination of bike and hike: after the ascent to the Höttinger Alm, you can join a hike to the Frau-Hitt saddle. This part of the tour takes around 1.5 hours and leads through alpine terrain with spectacular rock formations. From the Frau-Hitt saddle, you have a magnificent view of the Vordere Brandjochspitze, the Karwendel mountains and the Stubai, Tux, Ötztal and Pitztal Alps. This extension of the tour is particularly worthwhile and offers an intensive experience of nature.
