One of our real Tyrolean highlights is a visit to the Juifenalm, a beautifully situated alpine pasture in the Sellraintal valley, at an altitude of over 2,000 meters. The alpine pasture is ideal for a winter walk, a toboggan ride, or a ski tour.
Juifenalm: Winter adventure & toboggan run
The toboggan run to Juifenalm is one of the most beautiful in Tyrol:
Approximately 4.5 km long
600 meters of elevation
Good snow conditions due to the high altitude
The ascent takes about 1.5–2 hours and leads along a forest road with beautiful views, perfect for families and leisure tobogganers.

Culinary delights on the alpine pasture
What makes the Juifenalm special is not only the view, but also the cuisine: traditional, homemade delicacies are served here, made mainly from regional products. The alpine pasture is even mentioned in the Gault&Millau guide, which is indicative of its high quality and special culinary delights – even though it has not been awarded a toque, it is considered a recommended place to stop for gourmets and hikers alike.

⚠️ Tip: Waiting times on weekends
Due to the excellent cuisine and popular location, it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends. When the weather is good and after a day of sledding, you may have to wait a while for a table, so it's best to allow plenty of time.
Conclusion:
The Juifenalm is a perfect winter destination in Tyrol—with spectacular scenery, a wonderful toboggan run, and culinary highlights that make the trip something very special. Ideal for anyone who wants to combine nature, exercise, and enjoyment.
