One of our favorite hikes leads from Lake Reintaler See to the idyllic Lake Berglsteiner See in Kramsach—ideal for families, nature lovers, and anyone who wants to experience Tyrol away from the crowds.

Why is it so special?
This hike shows just how diverse Tyrol is: crystal-clear lakes, gentle forest trails, and cozy places to stop for refreshments. The trail is easy to walk, perfect for families with children, and offers beautiful views along the way. It is particularly peaceful and relaxing here in spring and fall.

Our personal impression
We love this trip because it combines relaxation and exercise perfectly. The splashing of the water, the rustling of the leaves, and the scent of the forest—it's the perfect place to unwind. There's plenty for children to discover along the way, and the destination at Berglsteiner Lake is simply beautiful.

Our tips for Reintaler See
Getting there
The starting point is in Kramsach in the Tyrolean lowlands. Parking is available at Reintaler See (subject to a fee). In spring and fall, parking is usually easy, but in summer you should arrive early as there are many bathers.
Best season/time of day
The hike is ideal from April to October. It is most beautiful in the morning when the sun rises over the lake and bathes the surroundings in warm light.
Activities
After about an hour, you will reach the romantic Berglsteiner Lake – a quiet place to rest, take photos, or simply breathe deeply. In summer, it is worth taking a dip in Lake Reintal – refreshing and invigorating after the hike!

Insider tips
Close by: the Tyrolean Farm Museum in Kramsach – an exciting journey into the history of Tyrol.
For connoisseurs: stop off at the Mariathal inn – excellent Tyrolean cuisine, homemade specialties, and a cozy terrace.
Practical information
The trail is well signposted and can also be accessed with an all-terrain stroller. Sturdy shoes and sufficient drinking water are sufficient.
Combination options
If you want to extend your day, you can combine the hike with a visit to Lake Berglstein or a detour to the nearby glass town of Rattenberg – perfect for a short stroll through town with Tyrolean flair.
